January 23, 2025

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. (BHN) has announced it has assumed operations of six substance use disorder (SUD) programs from BrightView, a national company that provides addiction treatment programs.

BrightView, which has programs across six states, is ceasing operations in Massachusetts, effective mid-February. BHN is now operating BrightView’s locations in Somerville; Brockton; Attleboro; Hyannis; Lawrence; and Haverhill. BHN will provide medication, counseling and case management support for individuals currently being served by BrightView, as well as individuals in those cities and towns who are seeking high quality treatment for substance use disorders.

BHN provides SUD services for opiate use disorder across Western Massachusetts and in the Greater Boston area. The organization was recently voted #10 in the largest employer category of
The Boston Globe’s “2024 Top Places to Work in Massachusetts” ranking, as well as a Diversity Equity and Inclusion Champion. BHN employs more than 2,500 staff.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to assume operations of these programs and ensure that there will be no disruption for the individuals receiving these lifesaving treatments. We are grateful to the staff and patients for trusting us with their employment and treatment, respectively. And we appreciate the leadership of BrightView and the Mass Department of Public Health for supporting this transition” said Steve Winn, President and CEO of BHN.
