Child Guidance Clinic
The Child Guidance Clinic provides comprehensive mental health, psycho-educational developmental, behavioral, and consultative service to Springfield and surrounding communities. Our multidisciplinary staff offers a variety of culturally competent programs in our clinic, at numerous community sites, and in homes when clinically indicated.

COPE/CSP
Child Guidance Clinic Outpatient Services
Provides Outpatient Mental Health and Psychiatry services to children, adolescents, and families. Individual, family, and group therapy, and case consultation are provided. School consultation, preschool consultation, and bereavement support for families of homicide victims, adolescent sexual offender/sexually reactive treatment services, divorce class for parents, parent education groups, and psychological testing and evaluation are also provided. Services are funded by Mental Health Insurers.
Child Guidance Clinic Early Intervention Program
Early Intervention is an integrated developmental service available to families of children between the ages of birth and three years of age for whom there are developmental concerns due to identified disabilities, or whose typical development is at risk due to certain birth or environmental factors. Services are funded by most insurers and the Department of Public Health.
Coordinated Family Focused Care Program, CFFC
This is a wraparound program that coordinates the care of children and adolescents ages 3-22, who are at risk of hospitalization or residential placement because of their serious emotional disturbance. Services are funded by Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership.Tel. 413-737-0906
Innovative Community Support
ICS is a program that was created as a response to the complex and changing needs of families and children. ICS provides the following services: Mentoring; Tutoring; Translation; Transportation; Child Care; Groups; Respite (Emergency and Planned); and Behavioral Modification.
Intensive Family Support Program
IFSP is a DMH funded outreach program that offers additional support to families with behaviorally and emotionally challenging children and adolescents (6-18). The program aims to prevent out of home placement or to support reintegration into the home community subsequent to such a placement. Referrals are accepted through DMH.
Springfield Therapeutic and Educational Partnership Program
These are comprehensive therapeutic classrooms within the Springfield Public Schools. The program provides clinical milieu, individual, family and group therapy, as well as home-based family support. Services funded in part by insurers and the Springfield School Department.
CSPECH (Community Support Program for People Experiencing Chronic Homelessness)
This program provides individuals with a diagnosed mental illness who have been without stable housing for a significant period of time and house them in scattered-site apartments within Hampden County. Individuals must meet MBHP admission criteria. The program will provide:

COPE/CSP
A short-term outreach program that is a hospital diversion. The program aids consumers in getting needed services in place, e.g. outpatient treatment, improving ADLS, support during difficult times, maintaining housing and numerous other goals that are individualized to the consumer. Payors for this program are MBHP and BMC. Referrals are open to those that meet criteria and are insured by the appropriate payor source. There are forms that need to be sent to the Payor source and may be obtained through the outreach supervisor at (413) 781-5297.
